Hatch Warren Runners: A Friendly Community Running Club in Basingstoke

Hatch Warren Runners was founded in 2013 by a group of friends who wanted to share their passion for running and encourage others to join them. Their motto is "everyone should be encouraged to run" regardless of how fast or far they can go. They believe that running is not only good for your physical health, but also for your mental well-being and social life.

The club meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Portsmouth Arms Pub or the Co-op in Beggarwood, where they offer a variety of runs, such as trails, road runs, and track sessions. They also communicate other runs and events through their members Facebook page, where you can find tips, advice, and support from fellow runners.

Hatch Warren Runners is proud of its achievements and participation in various races and challenges, both locally and nationally. They host their own race, the Farleigh Wallop 10K, which takes place on the glorious countryside trails and woodland in and around the picturesque villages of Farleigh Wallop, Cliddesden and Ellisfield. They also take part in events such as the Basingstoke Half Marathon, the London Marathon, and Endure 24, a 24-hour team relay race.

Hatch Warren Runners is affiliated with England Athletics, which means that members can enjoy benefits such as cheaper race entry fees and insurance. The club also has qualified Leaders in Running Fitness (LiRF) who can help runners improve their technique, develop training plans, and achieve their goals.
