Helen and John present The Librarians
The Librarians is a delightful physical theatre show and storytelling workshop for 4-9 year-olds and their adults. Each show is accompanied with an exclusive artist illustrated bespoke book as a memento of the show.
The Librarians is a celebratory tale of libraries, books and stories, a unique cultural and educational experience for young people. Using puppetry, physical theatre and object manipulation, this show will have you laughing out load and reaching for the nearest book to let you imagination run wild.
Step into a world where books leap off the shelves and imagination knows no bounds! Join the wonderfully quirky Miss Book and Mr Page for a hilarious adventure that celebrates the magic of storytelling.
The lovable Librarians will take you on a journey filled with laughter, surprises, and the pure joy of getting lost in a good book. Then, the real magic happens: where you and your child become storytellers! In our interactive workshop following the show, audience members create their own stories and bring them to life on stage alongside Miss Book and Mr Page.
Perfect for ALL families, The Librarians is performed in both British Sign Language and spoken English, creating a truly inclusive experience where D/deaf and hearing children discover stories together. A place where everyone find’s their voice, in this celebration of creativity.
This “silly, funny and profound,” show has had teachers and students “laughing until they had tears in their eyes.” Developed with support from Jenny Sealey MBE of the renowned Graeae Theatre, The Librarians uses ingenious physical performance and captivating visual theatre that will delight children and adults alike.
Don’t miss this opportunity to spark your child’s love of reading and unleash their (and your) inner storyteller!
Directed by John Mowat
Performed by Helen Ainsworth.
