The Angel is a Wetherspoon pub and is located in the Lower Ground Festival Place and is known for its range of real ales, craft beers, and freshly ground Lavazza coffee. The pub serves breakfast until noon and has a full food menu available until 11 pm.

The pub is named after a historic inn which stood in Market Place and closed in the 1860s.
